MUSIC RULED THE DAY ON 2019.03.20 with the launch of a Music portfolio under INSPIRATION on the IS web site. This launch made much easier given the musicians who are good friends with Richard Mayer, CEO of Inspired Spaces.
Richard is an active semi-professional musician who is currently playing bass in The Karmichaels, a folk~country rock group from Delta, British Columbia, Canada. His roots in playing music date back to Grade 7 when he first became interested in learning guitar… within a year of picking up the guitar, he was offered a job teaching guitar at his local music store ~ Carter’s Music ~ in Duncan, BC.
By mid-year in Grade 8, he was playing rhythm guitar in a three-man band that specialized in Ventures music. Numerous garage bands with friends followed over the years, with Richard usually playing lead and/or rhythm guitar. His shift to bass came in the late 1960s when he was asked by the lead guitarist in a notable local band if he would consider playing bass. With that, Pablo was formed, a three-man rock group that became known as one of the best bands of that era on Vancouver Island.
Having fun while playing music is much the same as for any activity that one pursues in Life… if you’re not having FUN… what’s the point?!?! If you LOVE what you do, this leads to greater enjoyment, enhanced abilities, performance, innovation and creativity with fellow bandmates, and more… much more!
