PARADISE LOST WAS TRANSFORMED from a cherished photo that captured a memorable father-son moment to a work of art by Rosi Oldenburg, a fine artist who excels in the coloured pencil medium. While progressives were published on Facebook as the art for ‘Paradise Lost’ took form, this encapsulates the mastery of an artist’s passion for taking on a challenge with stunning art being the result.
Thanks Rosi… my son Kevin is very pleased as am I!
Next steps for ‘Paradise Lost’
THE NAME ~ PARADISE LOST ~ IS SYMBOLIC in two ways… 1) it is a beautiful run on the Bulkley River in northern British Columbia, the Bulkley being an important tributary of the much larger Skeena River, and 2) should we not take care of the precious gifts Mother Nature has bestowed upon the Skeena watershed, it may well mean we have ‘lost a true paradise’… Flora Bank, critical habitat for wild salmon, steelhead and searun trout who call this magnificent eel grass bed home as these Skeena fish migrate out to sea and return to procreate.
Inspired Spaces is collaborating with Rosi Oldenburg and another artist ~ Chris Pongrac, owner/operator of Out of the Riffle Woodworks ~ to produce ‘Paradise Lost’ Limited Edition digital fine art print. A significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Limited Edition will be donated to the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition (SWCC) to support their efforts towards ensuring BC’s second largest wild salmon run and their environs survive the onslaught of industrial development, namely the proposed Petronas PNW LNG terminal on Lelu Island. To learn more about SWCC, please visit their web site and Facebook page.
More on the release of the Limited Edition digital fine art print of ‘Paradise Lost‘ is forthcoming in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned for further posts as this exciting project is detailed and ready for publication.
