THE LIMITED EDITION OF PARADISE LOST is now taking physical form as handcrafting the fine hardwood frame, detailing the lighting components and controls are underway. Consistent with the artistry of the coloured pencil original by Rosi Oldenburg, the frame, internal lighting and controls for the prototype will reflect her artistry, design and attention to detail in this very fine work of art.
An April 24th 2016 post on the IS Blog featured Rosi adding more colour to the art, the original photo, the coloured pencil art at progressive stages as it was being created and the finished art bearing her signature.
The next steps for ‘Paradise Lost’ were also announced in that post… a Limited Edition would be made available for fundraising purposes to support the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition (SWCC) in their efforts to ensure BC’s second largest wild salmon run and their environs survive the onslaught of major industrial development proposed at the mouth of the Skeena River. To learn more about SWCC, please visit their web site and Facebook page.
Once prototyping for the ‘Paradise Lost’ Limited Edition is complete, the artists involved will sign off this proof, approving it as production-ready. Stay tuned for an announcement when these unique Limited Editions are available… individuals or organizations interested in acquiring a signed and numbered edition will be able to reserve in advance.
Further updates will be posted on the IS Blog and shared in social media channels.
